Microair Avionics and Scion Helicopters Partner to Bring Digital Avionics to Scion’s Helicopter Fleet

Brisbane, Australia, and Fort Collins, Colorado, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, July 2026 - Microair Avionics and Scion Helicopters are proud to announce that Scion Helicopters’ clients will have the choice of the Microair Avionics suite across their cockpit, and Microair will also provide all their Rotor Drive system and system health information, which will help to support informed decision-making.

This marries Microair’s state-of-the-art digital functionality with the style and tradition of round instruments across the cockpit while reducing weight on take-off.

The SH-410 Vixen is an all-composite, spacious two-seat helicopter with a remarkable turbine engine made by Turbotech. Designed for training and mission work, the Vixen is unlike any other two-seat helicopter on the market. The cabin was sized to be comfortable for people over 6 ft tall and of larger than average stature. The composite structure, combined with the lightweight turbine power, gives it a truly usable, useful load of over 700 lbs.

“We here at Microair are thrilled to partner with Scion. The Scion Helicopter represents one of the most innovative helicopter designs in development today, and the T3000 skySuite brings not only our 28 years of technical capability but also style and architectural flexibility that we believe adds real value for Scion customers,” said David Withers, CEO of Microair Avionics. “Our shared vision of safety, performance, and innovation makes us natural partners.”

The Microair T3000 system features a fully digital, compact design with no external plumbing, triple-redundant internal sensing. Its rugged construction and minimal installation footprint make it ideal for the stylish design of the Scion Helicopter and its clients who demand dependable equipment without compromise on look and feel.

“I chose the Micro air system as one of the main avionics option packages for the Vixen helicopter because of its simple and elegant installation combined with its pleasing visual appearance,” said Jim Sampson, CEO of Scion Helicopters

This collaboration brings together two specialists — Microair Avionics in digital air-data and avionics, and Scion Helicopters in helicopter design and manufacturing — to deliver a combined offering built on performance, reliability, and craftsmanship.
